Rockledge apartments in Atlanta is pleased to announce a collaboration with Dragon*Con to showcase independent films each month at the community’s new 80-seat movie theater. The movie theater, currently under construction, will be unveiled at the Grand Opening of the new 18,000 square foot clubhouse at Rockledge in May.
“We are tremendously excited about our partnership with Dragon*Con,” says Billy Holcombe, Director of Marketing for Rockledge. “These monthly screenings are the exact type of event we had in mind when constructing the movie theater. At Rockledge, we strive to provide our residents with a one-of-a-kind experience and our collaboration with Dragon*Con helps us to achieve this goal.”
The first of many film screenings in the theater will take place at the clubhouse Grand Opening event at Rockledge in May with Dragon*Con presenting two short films during the festivities. The “Twenty-Somethings” meetup group held an outing at Rockledge on Saturday, February 20th. The group met at the outdoor fireplace area at South Bank and enjoyed a warm fire, s’mores, and complimentary pizza and beverages provided by the luxury apartment community on the Chattahoochee River.

Mark your calendars for the 5th Annual “Georgia Rides To The Capitol“ coming up on March 23, 2010. Over 1,000 cyclists from the metro Atlanta region will depart from Decatur and Roswell bound for the capitol to raise support for improved conditions for cycling. Another initiative of the ride is to raise support for the development of trail systems and raise awareness of the benefits of cycling.

Rockledge Apartments in Atlanta has an amenity that few communities in the area can claim…access to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. The actual area of the Chattahocchee River in which Rockledge backs up to is called Cochran Shoals.
Cochran Shoals is one of the most popular areas of the Chattahoochee attracting as many as a million visitors a year. Visitors and residents at Rockledge can enjoy the three mile fitness trails, biking trails, birdwatching areas, hiking, rafting and fishing. Some of the new biking trails at Cochran Shoals were recently developed by SORBA Atlanta. SORBA is the largest nonprofit mountain biking organization in the Southeast and has really helped make Cochran Shoals a terrific place to mountain bike.

Construction of the highly anticipated clubhouse at Rockledge Apartments is capturing the attention of everyone in the area. It’s almost impossible to drive by the community without taking a peak over to see the progress of the new clubhouse.
Dubbed the “Ultimate Clubhouse,” construction has moved quickly on this 17,000 + square ft structure with the exterior of the building almost complete. Big Dogs Are Welcome
