Enjoy The Arts at Rockledge

Rockledge Apartments in Atlanta may be best known for the fabulous outdoor amenities and luxury finishes offered at the community, but there are also many cultural activities just minutes from this gated community on the Chattahoochee River. One of the major hot spots for arts in the area is the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Located less than 3 miles from Rockledge, the Cobb Energy Centre is the first major performing arts facility built in metro Atlanta in 40 years.
The Cobb Energy Centre holds concerts, broadway shows, ballets, operas, educational shows and family performances year round. In October, the 2,750 seat John A. Williams Theatre located in the Centre will be featuring the highly anticipated “The Elixir of Love” and “Mozarts Majic Flute”. Tickets are now available through Ticketmaster.
There are also other artistic events going on near Rockledge this fall including many arts and crafts festivals. At the end of October,over 150 artists/craftsmen from across the country will be displaying their work at the Fall Jonquil Festival at nearby Smyrna Village Green. The free festival will be held on October 24th and 25th and feature a wide selection of festival foods in addition to the arts and crafts.
Another fun place to experience the arts near Rockledge is on historic Marietta Square. On October 2nd from 6-9PM, galleries and merchants on the square will open up their shops to the public for “First Friday Art Walk”. Local artists and their artwork will be featured at the galleries. Incredible plays can also be seen each month at Theatre in the Square.
