Rockledge Supports the 5th Annual Georgia Rides to the Capitol

Mark your calendars for the 5th Annual “Georgia Rides To The Capitol“ coming up on March 23, 2010. Over 1,000 cyclists from the metro Atlanta region will depart from Decatur and Roswell bound for the capitol to raise support for improved conditions for cycling. Another initiative of the ride is to raise support for the development of trail systems and raise awareness of the benefits of cycling.
If you are interested in participating, then there are a few different routes in which you can choose from. Rockledge apartments in Marietta will be joining Bike Cobb at the East Cobb Government Service Center (4400 Lower Roswell Rd, Marietta) for the 8:45 a.m. departure. Rockledge will have a table setup with free Powerbars, fruit and chapstick to make the long but fun ride a little easier.
The event is free to participate but organizers are asking for a $10.00 donation (or more) to support the initiative. Riders will need to pre-register for the event to be covered by event insurance.
