Halloween Happenings in Marietta

Halloween is a mere two weeks away, and to help make sure you are in a spooky state of mind, try checking out some of the fantastic Halloween events taking place near Rockledge Apartments. On Saturday, October 17th, the Marietta Square will be buzzing with the 33rd annual Harvest Square Arts and Crafts Festival from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. The festival includes costume contests, carnival games, pumpkin carvings, and the annual Scarecrows in the Square. Festival goers that arrive early can purchase some of Georgia’s best tasting fresh grown vegetables and fruit at The Marietta Square Farmers Market that coincides with the festival from 9 a.m to noon.

On the following weekend, October 24th, the Georgia Ballet will feature “A Sleepy Hollow Story” at the Cobb Civic Center. This production is based on the classic American tale where strange things begin to happen in the quiet village of Sleepy Hollow. Tickets can be purchased online now at georgiaballet.tix.com or at the box office located at 1255 Field Pkwy in Marietta, GA.

Come All Hallow’s Eve night, there are many options to choose from including the Marlow House Halloween Party (adults only) from 8 p.m. – Midnight. There will be light refreshments, prizes for best costumes, and you can bring your own alcohol. Price is $10 per person. Another great party option for Halloween night is Dixie Tavern. Local band, Walkin’ Sidewayz, will be performing and prizes will be given out for best costumes.
